On-Call Receptionist

Job Title: On-Call Receptionist

Works Directly Under Human Resources

 

The role of an on-call receptionist is only available during hours and days in which the Receptionist is not available.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Serving visitors by welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
  • Answer telephone, screen and forward incoming calls
  • Take and relay messages
  • Provide basic information to callers and visitors
  • Direct persons to correct destination
  • Deal with queries from the public and clients
  • Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization
  • General administrative and clerical support to include but not limited to: photo copying, faxing, and filing
  • Tidy and maintain the reception area
  • Receiving and sorting daily mail/deliveries/couriers
  • Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access (sign-in sheet)
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in a front office handling receptionist responsibilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Solid Communication skills
  • Ability to organize and maintain office area
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Ability to be resourceful when the need arises
