What have scientists learned from analyzing salmon ear stones?

This past summer, ONC fisheries crew had the opportunity to sample Chinook salmon ear stones, also known as otoliths, caught in the Alaska Department of Fish & Game Bethel test fishery. We did this through the support of University of Washington scientists, Sean Brennan and Daniel Schindler.
