The ONC SYETP is gearing up to have another successful six-weeks of employment experience for youth ages 14–21, which is scheduled to begin June 20 through July 28, 2023. SYETP is a This year we are planning to work with the YCC who work with the Fisheries Youth Program and look forward to an exciting summer. For this program only, we will accept three (3) eligible youth ages 15-18 years of age; one (1) as a Youth Coordinator. The SYETP will also have a Youth Coordinator to oversee the youth working in various job sites in Bethel.

- academic and occupational learning opportunities
- Occupational skills training
- Leadership development (youth coordinators)
- Support services to meet career and educational goals
- Adult mentoring
- Identify barriers to employment and/or education
- Develop a plan for each youth participant to identify age-appropriate goals
SYETP Orientation for the selected candidates must attend to be employed.
The application process will begin May 1 – June 12, 2023. The deadline to submit your application has been extended to June 12, 2023 @ 5pm. You can download an application by following this link. Completed applications may be dropped of at the ONC office or emailed to education@nativecouncil.org and must be received by June 12, 2023 @ 5pm to be considered.
Selected applicants will attend SYETP Orientation is scheduled for June 16, 2023 @ 1pm at the Multipurpose Building (Old Bowling Alley)
