The 2021 Season is CLOSED throughout the Mulchatna Caribou Herd Range

“Over the last 5 years, the Mulchatna Caribou Herd has dropped to population size of 13,500, well below the minimum limit of 30,000 set for subsistence hunts.”

The hunting season is closed for 2021 to preserve the population and allow it to grow for future generations.

– Share this information with friends and family
– Hunt other species: moose season is open on the Yukon through April.
– Report poaching to 907-227-2002
